The UK’s largest professional sales body recognises IT Channel Trainer for excellence

18 March 2016, Kingston upon Thames, UK. Meeting Point, IT Channel leader in demand generation and training services, has been rewarded with Best Sales Trainer at the prestigious British Excellence in Sales and Marketing Award (BESMA) at a ceremony organised by the UK’s largest professional sales body, The Institute of Sales and Marketing Managers (ISMM).

The ISMM is committed to developing sales talent and is the UK’s only professional sales qualifications awarding body recognized by the Government regulatory body, Ofqual, with a full range of qualifications exclusively focused on Sales, Marketing and Sales & Marketing Management.

Meeting Point continue to go from strength to strength following a re-structure of the business in 2015 aimed at providing specialist marketing services to support the IT Channel. Having listened to their clients’ frustrations around finding, recruiting, training, motivating and retaining the right candidates – often at great expense – they came up with a unique offer that taps into the growing, government backed, apprenticeship scheme.

In a nutshell, Meeting Point take all the headache away from employers by doing all the hard work for them, whilst leaving them to concentrate on what they themselves are good at – selling. They find, recruit and manage Apprentices (which are all ages by the way), who show real potential to become great sales people and then manage them and keep them motivated. Apprentices work at either the Client’s office, or at Meeting Point’s headquarters – or a hybrid of the two – for fixed monthly fee.

Speaking from their offices in Kingston upon Thames, Ian Brigden, Managing Director of Meeting Point said “As sales trainers, we have a responsibility to ensure the young people signing up for a career in sales not only end up with the skills and qualifications they need to do the job they are employed to do by ever more demanding employers, but also leave with a strong ethos of how to conduct themselves professionally. Steven Burton, our winning sales trainer, regularly demonstrates how working hard and playing fair works as much to their advantage as hitting their number every month and has resulted in our clients returning year on year as our qualified staff flourish in their businesses”
